Why I like Apple iPad pro more than my computer

A child comes out of an iPad Pro ad and says this. “What’s Computer?”

For us, the iPad is considered a ‘tablet PC.’ However, Apple is no longer a tablet, but is expanding its iPad Pro into the realm of computers. To be exact, it is gradually breaking the boundaries between tablet PCs and computers.

Especially by formally supporting the mouse and trackpad with the latest ipadOS 13.4 update, this boundary is increasingly breaking down.

I personally use more iPads than computers. At work, at home, and even now, I’m using the iPad Pro. With the recent purchase of a magic keyboard, the iPad has become more useful and an indispensable item in my life.

So, why do I prefer “iPad” to “computer”?

1. It’s the best machine to do light work.

I don’t do hard work with computers. Documenting or writing is the most of the work, plus web surfing is the most of the work I do on my computer. In other words, it is a light user. I think I can say that the iPad is the best machine in doing such a light job.

It is more intuitive than a computer, and it always stays on without having to struggle to turn it on and off. That is, you can just turn it on anytime, anywhere and start working right away.

In addition, the iPad Pro class offers a very pleasant use environment for light work, as there are some parts that have better specifications than most computers. This is because it has full and full performance.

2. Handwriting and typing can be done together.

Writing on a computer or taking notes by hand, these two are essential tasks for a variety of tasks, such as taking classes, participating in meetings, and working on projects. However, it is more advantageous to have a tablet PC like the iPad that can do both at once.

Recently, a variety of Windows tablets have been released with pens, and more and more users are coming. These are computers called 2 in 1 PC. However, personally, I think the iPad can be used more conveniently and intuitively than these computers.

Because there are a variety of ‘applications’ that are optimized for iPads, there is no qualms about doing hand-writing and typing at the same time, making it easier to use than a computer. This is something you can understand if you experience both Windows laptops and iPads. To put it simply, the iPad is much simpler, more intuitive and convenient.

3. It’s light to carry around.

If you use an iPad and a keyboard polio case, it weighs only about 1 kilogram, so there’s no inconvenience at all to carry around and use it anywhere.

Also, the 11-inch iPad Pro is more mobile, so it’s recommended for mobile users. Personally preferring large screen work, it uses 12.9 inches despite its weight.

Even if laptops and iPads have similar weights, the weight felt by the iPad feels lighter. This is because the Magic Keyboard is removable when you actually have to hold it or take notes. This is because it can be used by the weight of the pad alone, which leads to the use of various environments.

4. Optimized for content consumption.

The iPad is an optimized machine for consuming content. I think there is no better machine for consuming content such as YouTube, Netflix, SNS, and e-books.

Also, I have no objection to reading books as e-books, and there are some more preferred parts. So I scan and carry around many books and read and use them. In this regard, I think there is no product that can follow the iPad.

There will be many other advantages. Depending on their usability, this advantage can be maximized.

However, it is also clear that the limitations cannot be overcome because the iPad is an iPad. That’s why people say, ‘Ipad can’t replace a computer.’ I agree.

However, most PC users are expected to do light work, and if so, the iPad will be a machine that can replace much of the PC’s responsibilities, making it easier and more intuitive to do.

However, it is still hard to admit that the price is higher than the computer because it is getting more expensive. Maybe it’s because there’s a premise in me that ‘iPad is a computer assistant.’ Wouldn’t it be the same for many users as well as me?
