Amazon fire TV stick 4k vs xiaomi mi box s
I would like to talk about the convenience of using fire TV and mibox s.
Unboxing! There are so many photos and writings, so let’s move on.
This is an Amazon fire TV stick 4k.
Above is the next version of mibox with mibox s.
There are other 4 generations of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Apple TV of Nvidia, but today we are going to compare the two products
-
How to Install Fire TV stick<= mi box s
The reason why the microbox is a little better is that it supports a separate light output terminal other than hdmi, and can expand the capacity to usb memory.
-
Setting method: fire TV = mi box s
It’s similar. It’s not difficult because you can just do whatever you want.
-
App extension: fire TV = mi box s
There are limitations of Amazon and Google TV at the same time, so it’s similar.
I am satisfied with both Netflix and Plex. Haha
But there is Spotify in mibox, there is no fire TV stick
.
Also, you can listen to music by calling Spotify from the remote control of the fire TV stick to the alexa speaker or interlock speaker.
No mibox s. Google Assistant seems to be less concerned about multimedia.
Fire TV stick belongs to Amazon’s app as a device, so you can decide which speaker to print in the settings.
If you set the output to an amazon-compatible device in the same room, you can print it out on fire TV stick.
It’s very comfortable.

Interworking with Riding: fire TV > mi box s
You usually connect to a receiver, a sound bar, or a TV.
Usually we use HDMI-CEC. This function turns on the TV when you turn on the fire TV. Or the TV turns on when you turn on the mibox s.
You can use it.
In the case of mibox s, there is no other way than HDMI-CEC to connect to sound bars, receivers, TVs, etc.
In the case of fire TV, there is a separate menu that connects other devices other than HDMI-CEC, allowing compatible devices to act as remote control directly as fire TV. It’s more comfortable than I thought. All right.
In my case, it actually works as below.
In the case of fire TV, turn on the TV with the fire TV remote control, turn off the TV with the fire remote control.
In the case of miboxs, the TV turns on when you turn it on with the mibox s remote control, and when you turn it off with the mibox s remote control, only the mibox s turns off and the TV stays still.
-
Instrument speed: fire TV > mi box s
In the case of mi box s, I have used it for several months, and fire TV stick may be used only for a few days, so the content may change a little later.
I’d like to.
In the case of mi box s, the speed is useful after the reboot, but usually there is not much reboot.
It’s in sleep mode. Android is not smooth when I wake up from sleep mode.
There are times when you can see the stutter.
There is no such symptom on fire TV stick.
-
Automatically turn on TV when waking up in sleep mode : fire TV > mi box s
It is also the basic function of HDMI-CEC mentioned above.
The mi box s has a 95% chance of turning on the TV.
So when I turned it on with the mi box s, I watched the TV, and I saw if the mi box s was turned on, and this happened.
-
The Convenience of Voice Assistant: Fire TV >= mi box s
Google Assistant, alexa, all have excellent recognition rates, so it’s hard to compare.
The interface is slightly different. I’m comfortable with fire TV.
If you watch Netflix and say “what’s weather” on the fire TV remote control, the weather comes out and then you go back to Netflix.
If you watch Netflix s while watching Netflix and ask for the weather, Netflix will stop and the weather will come out. The weather keeps coming out.
alexa can understand both English and Google Assistant can understand both English and Korean.

DD+ , DD , 5.1 : fire TV >>> mi box s
What I felt when I was using Apple TV was that it was very easy to set up.
Setting DTS, DD , DD+ is not easy for mibox s if the receiver or sound bar is deployed in 5.1.
Especially, the receiver is easy, but the setting is very difficult at the sound bar.
Recently, the ability to encode with DD in mibox s has been added, although Netflix has been decoded into 5.1,
If you turn on the -> Sleep mode -> while watching the mibox s, you must reset to activate 5.1.
Fire TV and Netflix and DD+ are more comfortable than I thought. Like Apple TV, you just set all the output to DD.
(Of course, there’s a slight tone-down, but I can’t close my ears.) 5.1. It’s working fine.
In the case of sound bars, there are many ports that print out HDMI again, so you can configure it as below.
1. HDMI -> TV -> TV -> TV Optical Output -> sound bar on fire TV
2. Fire TV’s HDMI – TV -HDMI Output -> Soundbar
In the case of receiver, it’s almost HDMI input and output, so you can do it according to your preference.

Smooth when playing video: fire TV = mi box s
I think they’re both similar If there is a little difference, I feel that fire TV is a little smoother.
When playing the initial video, the fire TV changes from low to high definition, and the mibox s is relatively short.
-
Price: fire TV = mi box s
Both can be purchased online for around 50 dollars
Both are very cost-effective.
-
A general review
With the detailed convenience mentioned above, I think I will use fire TV for a while.
Fire TV is more satisfying because the device is also fast.
